Everyone takes a coin, checks the year, and shares a memory tied to it — no prep, no printing, just a jar of change.

8–40 people

Materials:

A jar of pennies (or any coins)

• 15 min+
• Get to know you
• Small group (2–8)

How to play

1. Pass around a jar of coins and have everyone take one without checking the date yet.
2. On go, everyone flips their coin over and finds the year.
3. Each person shares a memory or moment connected to that year — or, if it predates them, a story from that era or what they know about it.
