How to play

1. Ask everyone to write a six-word story about themselves. Exactly six — the constraint is what makes it work.
2. Give a real two minutes of quiet thinking time. Do not rush this part.
3. Go around and have people read theirs out.
4. No explaining unless someone asks. The six words should stand on their own.

Variations

• Narrow the topic: six words about your week, your first job, or why you joined this team.
• Online: everyone drops theirs into chat at the same time on a count of three.
