Icebreaker Puzzles

Small teams work through a lateral-thinking brainteaser together — the puzzle is really just an excuse to talk.

10–15 min

6–30 people

Materials:

A lateral-thinking puzzle or brainteaser per group

• 5–15 min
• Small group (2–8)
• Team building

How to play

1. Split into groups of three or four.
2. Give each group a lateral-thinking puzzle or brainteaser that has more than one possible angle of attack.
3. Give them five to seven minutes to work through it together.
4. The reasoning and debate matters more than whether they land on the answer.
