Human Knot

Grab two hands across the circle, then untangle without letting go.

How to play

1. Stand in a tight circle, shoulder to shoulder.
2. Everyone reaches in and takes two different people's hands — not the person next to you, not both hands of the same person.
3. Without letting go, the group untangles itself back into a circle.
4. Talking is allowed and necessary. Stepping over and ducking under is expected.
5. Sometimes it resolves into two linked circles. That still counts.

Variations

• Two teams race. Ask the group about personal space first — this one involves a lot of contact.
