Fruit Basket

Everyone is a fruit. Your fruit gets called, you run for a new chair — one short.

Chairs — one fewer than players

How to play

1. Set chairs in a circle, one fewer than there are people. One person stands in the middle.
2. Go round and give everyone a fruit — apple, banana, orange — repeating so there are several of each.
3. The person in the middle calls a fruit. Everyone with that fruit has to get up and find a different chair.
4. The person left standing goes in the middle and calls next.
5. Calling "fruit basket" means everybody moves at once.

Variations

• Swap fruit for anything — favourite colours, months of birth, football teams.
• For a calmer version, call it seated and have people swap seats at walking pace.
