Friendly Feud

Two teams guess the most popular answer to a prompt — the closer to the top answer, the more it's worth.

Make it yours: Any prompt works as long as there's a rankable set of answers — survey questions, common examples, or "top reasons why" for your subject.

Materials:

A list of prompts with ranked answers (survey the class ahead of time, or rank them yourself)

How to play

1. Split the class into two teams.
2. Read a prompt with several possible answers, ranked by popularity or importance.
3. One student from the active team guesses an answer. A match reveals its rank and adds to the team's score, and the team keeps guessing.
4. Three wrong guesses in a row (from anyone on that team) hands control to the other team, who get one shot to "steal" by guessing a remaining answer correctly.
5. Whichever team has the higher score after all prompts are guessed wins.
