Go around the room naming something in the category, in alphabetical order — get stuck and you're out.

Make it yours: Pick any category your students can alphabetize through — vocabulary, historical figures, animal names.

How to play

1. Pick a category tied to your subject.
2. Going around the room, each student names something in the category starting with the next letter of the alphabet.
3. Stuck for more than ten seconds means you're out — or just pass and keep the chain going.
4. Keep going until you reach Z or the chain runs its course.
